Beef Chop Suey

1 # sirloin of beef cut into thin strips

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp vegetable oil

¼ cup sherry wine

¼ cup soy sauce

1 tsp fresh minced ginger

1 cup sliced onion

1 cup sliced green bell pepper

1 cup sliced carrot

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 cup sliced celery

1 5oz. can bamboo shoots

2 cups bean sprouts

½ cup beef broth

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground black pepper

½ # cooked rice noodles

1 tblsp corn starch

Minced scallion for garnish 

In a medium size mixing bowl, add together the first six ingredients, and marinate overnight.  Drain the beef and discard marinade.  In a wok on high heat, brown the beef on all sides.  Remove the beef and set a side.  Add the next seven ingredients and stir fry for 4-5 minutes.  Add the beef to the wok.  Mix together the broth, soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and corn starch.  Add the broth mixture to the wok and stir to coat the beef and vegetables. When sauce begins to thicken turn off heat.  Serve over rice noodles and garnish with minced scallion.
