Mexican Chocolate Cake

1- 18.25 oz box devil’s food cake mix
1- 3.9oz box instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
¼ cup coffee liquor
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs beaten
2 tsp ground cinnamon - divided in half
½ cup sugar
3 med apples peeled cored and finely diced
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup crushed walnuts or pecans
Whipped cream and sliced strawberries to garnish
In a large mixing bowl combine the first six ingredients and mix until a smooth batter is formed. Stir in one tsp. of the cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, mix together the apples, cranberries and crushed walnuts. Add the sugar and remaining cinnamon. Mix together and set aside. Pour half the batter into a 9x13 baking dish.
Top with the apples mixture. Finish with the remaining batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool and serve with shipped cream and sliced strawberries to garnish.
