Apple Sambal
TV 7 Morning Show –
September 23, 2005
2 tblsp. vegetable oil
2 cups finely diced onion
2 small red Chile peppers
(seeded and finely diced)
or 1 tblsp. crushed red Chile pepper
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups granny smith apples
(peeled, cored and finely
diced)
1 tsp. salt
½ cup raisins
1 tblsp. curry powder
juice of one lime
Over medium heat add the
onion, oil, peppers and garlic to a four quart sauce pan and sauté for five
minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and cook until the onion and apples are
soft. Serve over sautéed chicken, roast pork or fried shrimp.
