Cabbage and Carrot Side

Easter Special Manning the Kitchen
4 cups sliced red cabbage
1 tblsp. vegetable oil
2 tblsps. butter
1 tblsp. balsamic or red
wine vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil and butter
together on high heat and add cabbage. Saut้ cabbage 4-5 minutes stirring every
minute. Add vinegar, salt and pepper. Let simmer 2-3 minutes and remove to
serving dish.
1 tblsp. butter
4 cups baby carrots
blanched
ผ cup maple syrup
ผ cup orange juice
salt and pepper to taste
Add the butter, syrup and
juice to a 4 quart pan and heat to make a sauce. Add the carrots, salt and
pepper and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Serve the carrots and cabbage side by side.
