Jack Daniels Prime Rib
1 7 lb. Boneless Ribeye of Beef
1 Quart of Jack Daniels Bourbon
6 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. granulated garlic
1 tbsp. white granulated sugar
In a 4 deep roasting pan, add the ribeye, bourbon, and
garlic cloves. Marinade the beef for at least three days, turning the beef over
each day. Two to three hours prior to roasting, drain the bourbon and garlic.
Mix the seasonings together and rub into the beef. In a preheated 350 degree
oven, roast for one hour and 30 minutes for a medium rare center.
Jack Daniels Three Onion Sauce
1 tbsp. butter
½ cup white onion, diced
½ cup red onion, diced
3 scallions minced (whites only)
4 oz. (1 ½ cups) Jack Daniels Bourbon
½ cup brown gravy
1 clove garlic, minced
On medium heat, melt the butter and add the white and red
onion. Saute until the onions begin to wilt. Add scallions and the bourbon and
flambι. When alcohol has burned off. Add the gravy and the garlic. Simmer
sauce for 2 to 3 minutes and serve over sliced JD Prime Rib. This sauce is
great with grilled pork or chicken as well.
