Chris Manning:
“Carolina Pickled Shrimp”
˝ cup olive oil
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 Tblsp Worcesteshire sauce
1 Tblsp Sugar
1 Tblsp Prepared mustard
1 Tblsp hot sauce
1 Tsp salt
1 ˝ # 21-25 cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup sliced red onion
1 cup thin sliced cabbage
Combine the ketchup, vinegar, worcesteshire, sugar, mustard, hot sauce, and salt and mix well. Slowly add the oil and mix until the marinade resembles french dressing. Layer the cabbage, onion and shrimp in a bowl, glass works best. Pour the marinade over the shrimp, cover and let stand in the fridge at least 8 hours.
