Beef & Guinness Pie

                                                          

2lb ground beef cooked and drained

1-12oz. bottle Guinness Ale

4 cloves garlic minced

2 leeks finely diced

Salt and pepper to taste

1 ½ cups brown gravy

1-9” prepared pie crust (top and bottom)

 

In a 4 qt. sauce pan, mix together the beef, ale, garlic and leeks.  Cook for 10 minutes on medium to high heat, stirring every 3 minutes.  Add the salt, pepper, and gravy.  Cook for another 10 minutes.  Allow to cool for 30 minutes.  Fill the pie shell with al of the beef mixture mounding toward the center.  Top with crust, crimp edges to seal and cut a slit on top of pie for steam to escape.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes slice and serve with a side of salad.
