Sour Cream Cookies

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup shortening

1 egg, beaten

½ tsp. nutmeg

½ tsp. salt

2 cups flour

½ tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder

½ cup sour cream

½ cup raisins

½ cup chopped nuts

Cream together the sugar, shortening, egg, nutmeg and salt.  Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder and sour cream, mix well.  Add the raisins and nuts.  Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and bake 15 minutes in a pre-heated 325 degree oven.
