TV Morning Show 8/3/07
Hummus
1 fourteen-ounce can garbanzo beans
½ cup tahina (sesame paste)
juice of one lemon
1 clove minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
parsley, paprika and sesame seeds to garnish
pita bread for dipping
(Although not traditional, extra virgin olive oil may be drizzled over the
finished product.)
Drain beans and place in a food processor. Add tahina,
lemon juice, garlic and salt. Process until smooth. To serve, place in
center of a large flat plate and garnish with parsley, paprika and sesame
seeds. Surround hummus with pita bread cut into dipping-sized pieces.
