Spaghetti with Walnut Sauce
Carné Asada
4 tablespoons
butter
2 tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion,
chopped
1 clove garlic,
minced
2 ˝ cups
walnuts, crushed
2 tablespoons
fresh parsley, chopped
˝ cup plain
bread crumbs
˝ cup grated
parmesan cheese
1 pound cooked
spaghetti
In an
eight-quart saucepan, heat the butter and oil over medium heat. Add the
onion and cook until onions begin to wilt. Add the walnuts and garlic and
cook for four to five minutes. Stir the walnuts so they don’t burn. Add
bread crumbs and cook two to three minutes longer. Add the cheese and pasta
and stir to coat the pasta evenly. Serve with grilled shrimp, chicken or
pork.
