Maple Walnut Fried Chicken

eight-ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast, pounded to ½-inch thick
2/3 cup
all-purpose flour or Bisquick
1
tablespoon dry mustard
1
teaspoon paprika
1
teaspoon salt
1
teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup
crushed walnuts
2/3 cup
real maple syrup
chopped
parsley for garnish
salt
and pepper to taste
vegetable oil for frying
Coat chicken with the
syrup. Mix together the flour (or Bisquick), mustard, paprika, salt, pepper
and walnuts in a large but shallow pan. Dredge the chicken in the flour
mixture. Coat all four pieces of chicken with as much mixture as possible.
Heat oil on medium heat, and fry the chicken pieces, about four minutes on
each side. Drizzle with maple syrup and garnish with chopped parsley.
