Maple Walnut Fried Chicken

4 eight-ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast, pounded to ½-inch thick

2/3 cup all-purpose flour or Bisquick

1 tablespoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup crushed walnuts

2/3 cup real maple syrup

chopped parsley for garnish

salt and pepper to taste

vegetable oil for frying

Coat chicken with the syrup. Mix together the flour (or Bisquick), mustard, paprika, salt, pepper and walnuts in a large but shallow pan. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture. Coat all four pieces of chicken with as much mixture as possible. Heat oil on medium heat, and fry the chicken pieces, about four minutes on each side. Drizzle with maple syrup and garnish with chopped parsley.
