A recipe by Lynn Pietroski, Director of Residential Services at
The Children’s Home of Jefferson County*
1 ½
pounds round steak sliced thin, about 4- or 5-inch pieces
1 cup
bread crumbs
¼ cup
grated cheese
1
teaspoon parsley
2 eggs
beaten with 4 teaspoons of water
salt
and pepper to taste
½
teaspoon garlic powder
1
thirty-two-ounce jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
Combine bread crumbs,
cheese, parsley, eggs, salt, pepper and garlic powder for filling. Spread
filling on thin slices of meat and roll up like a jelly roll. Tie with
string a couple of times. Place in spaghetti sauce and simmer for 2 to 3
hours. Remove string before serving.
