TV 7 Morning Show 6/9/2006

“Country Fried Sirloin”

 

 

4 – 10 oz. NY Strip Steaks

5 Tsp. Cajun Seasoning

3 Cups “Panko” Bread Crumbs

2 Tblsp. Butter

¼ Cup Beef Gravy

¼ Cup Sour Cream

 

Evenly coat the steaks with the Cajun seasonings.  Roll the steaks in the Panko crumbs and press the crumbs into the steaks.  Set the steaks into the fridge for one hour.  Heat the oil and butter on medium heat in a 14 inch skillet.  Add the steaks and cook on both sides for 8-10 minutes.  Remove to serving dishes, and add the wine to the pan.  Simmer for 2 minutes and add the gravy and sour cream.  Stir sauce until smooth and just begins to bubble.  Serve sauce over steaks and garnish with minced chives. 

 

 

“Italian Marinade for Steak”

 

1 Cup Dry red Wine

1 Cup Tomato Juice

1 Cup Italian Dressing

4 Cloves Garlic Minced

1 Cup Diced Onion

 

Combine all of the Ingredients in a gallon size Ziploc bag and shake well.  Marinate over night and grill to desired temperature.  Serve with sautéed mushrooms and onions.
