TV 7 Morning Show 5/26/2006

“TIQUA CHILI”

 

 

1 ½ pound of Ground Beef, browned and strained

4 Green Onions coarse diced

1 Medium Green Bell pepper course diced

1 Medium Red Bell Pepper coarse diced

3 Tblsp. Chili Seasoning

 

 

RECIPE TO FOLLOW

 

1 – 12oz. Bottle 1,000 Island Pale Ale

1 – 20 oz. Can diced Tomatoes

1 – 20 oz. Can Tomato Puree

2 Tblsp. Fresh Chopped Cilantro

Juice of one Lime

1 14 oz. Can Refried Beans

1 12 oz. Can Beef Broth

2 Fresh Jalapeño Peppers minced – optional

 

Combine all of the ingredients in an eight quart Stock Pot, on medium heat.   Allow to cook for 20 minutes, stir, and let simmer for 20 more minutes.  Serve over cheese Omelet’s, Hot Dogs, or French Fries.

 

“Tiqua chili Seasoning”

 

2 Tblsp. Mexican Chili Powder

1 Tblsp. Ground Cumin

1 Tblsp. Celery Salt

1 Tsp. Coriander

1 Tsp. Ancho Chili Powder

1 Tsp. Granulated Sugar

 

Blend all the seasonings together.  Use to season Tiqua Chili Recipe or as a rub for Chicken or Pork.
