TV 7 Morning Show - September 2, 2005

1 ½ lb. ground beef browned and drained of all grease
1- 14oz. can diced tomatoes
2 tblsps. fresh basil chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
½ cup parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. Rotini pasta cooked
4 cups white sauce (Béchamel)
2 cups shredded mozzerella cheese

In a large mixing bowl add the first six ingredients and mix well. In an 8” by 14” casserole dish spread half the meat mixture on the bottom evenly. Add half the pasta on top and spread evenly. Add half the cheese on top of pasta. Add half the white sauce and spread evenly on top. Repeat the layering until all the ingredients are used. Bake at 350 degrees or until golden brown on top.
