3 Tblsp, dry active yeast
1 ½ cups warm water
8 cups all purpose flour
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped dried fruit
(apricots, figs, prunes, dates, etc.)
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tblsp. salt

Mix the yeast and water together, making sure the yeast dissolves. Combine the flour, raisins, walnuts, dried fruit, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. When the yeast and water begin to foam on top ad it to the flour mixture. Beat the mixture while adding the milk, to form a kneadable dough. Let the dough rise until double in bulk, about one hour and thirty minutes. Cut the dough in half and let both loaves rise again, about thirty minutes. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 40 minutes. Remove the loaves and brush melted butter all over the top of each loaf.
