IMMEDIATE JOB OPPORTUNITIES
HOUSE PARENTS
We are
accepting applications for live-in house parents for a cottage of ten
children located on our State Street campus. We are looking for two married
couples who want to provide support and guidance to troubled children. One
couple will live on campus for 4 days and have 3 days off. The other couple
will live on campus for 3 days and have 4 days off. These couples must
have a permanent residence of their own (to return to on their days off).
Their joint duties include supervision
and mentoring of ten boys ages 10-17; cottage housekeeping and laundry; and
preparation of meals. Applicants should be married couples with no children
or those with adult children who are living on their own. Pets are not
allowed. We are a smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol-free workplace. Couples
must have a valid NYS driver’s license with an excellent driving record and
must successfully pass all criminal background checks to include federal and
state fingerprinting and the NYS Central Register for child abuse and
neglect. These are full-time exempt positions with an excellent salary and
benefits package.
LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKERS
We are accepting
applications for full-time Licensed Master Social Workers to provide case
management services to adults and children in our Community Mental Health
Program. Licensed Clinical Social Workers preferred. A Masters Degree with
a minimum of two years experience in providing direct care services to
adults or children with severe and enduring mental health problems is
required. Child & Youth Services: The
case manager provides individualized care to children up to age 17. The goal
of this program is to reduce hospitalization, and excessive emergency room
visits for mental health concerns while introducing clients to community
services and crisis management programs. The case manager helps clients in
developing and utilizing support networks that assist them in achieving and
maintaining their functional goals. Adult
Services: This program is targeted to adults 17 and older who are
considered a high risk for inpatient hospitalization, they may also
experience symptoms that are difficult to meet in the existing mental health
care system and have a history of excessive use of crisis services. The case
manager introduces clients to community services and crisis management
programs; and helps the clients in developing and utilizing support networks
that assist them in achieving and maintaining their functional goals.
Proficient time management, organization and communication skills (oral and
written) are essential for this position.
DIRECT CARE STAFF
Positions open for responsible adults to be role models for youth ages
10-17. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma and a valid NYS
driver’s license with a good driving record. We are looking for individuals
with proven leadership abilities who can help teach, mentor and interact
with adolescents. Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
Starting salary is $10.79 to $11.86 per hour depending on education.
Applicants must be able to work evenings, weekends and overnights.
