The ultimate goal of the Education Program is to help each child improve their academic standing through a structured education program.

Full-Time School Liaison
CHJC has an Education Liaison that monitors each child ’s academic progress while working closely with the public schools in order to establish school programs that meet each child's needs. This ensures that each child’s individual school needs are met so they can achieve their educational goals.

School Intervention Workers
CHJC has two full-time School Intervention Workers who work in the school and support the children who may be experiencing difficulty in a school setting.

Evening Tutor
An evening tutor is available during the school week to assist the residents with any school work. This allows the child to improve on subjects they are having difficulty with.

Off-Campus Educational Field Trips
CHJC believes that each child not only participate in an educational program at school, but also off-school grounds. These may include trips to the library, educational tours at places of work, or having the residents participate in the life skills program.

Life Skills
The Life Skills Program is an interactive program designed to assist residents in daily living skills. The program focuses on issues ranging from building positive self-esteem to gaining employment. Examples of subjects in the curriculum are: cooking, employment, health, and nutrition. This program benefits the children by helping them become independent and prepared for life in the community.
